Australia Awards Pakistani Students Scholarships 2014-15

Australia’s international development assistance in Pakistan aims to strengthening Pakistan’s human resource capacities by providing Masters-level scholarships and short course awards in areas aligned with Pakistan’s development priorities.

These include:
  • Maternal, neonatal and child health services
  • Basic education services
  • Rural development and food security
  • Governance
  • Trade and Economic Growth
  • Mining
  • Water Resource Management
The program also targets public sector reform and improved standards of governance in both public and private sectors.
The aim is to improve technical and leadership capacity of men and women working in federal and provincial governments, non-profit civil society, and the private sector.
Priority will be given to applicants from Balochistan, Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Australia Awards are administered by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – Australian Aid and aligned with Australia’s development assistance in Pakistan, targeting human resource gaps in identified priority sectors. They aim to provide successful applicants with the skills and knowledge to drive change and influence economic and social development.
Australia Awards are offered on the basis of merit, transparency and equal access. We strongly encourage applications from women, people with disability, and people from target areas.
  • How to Apply
    Applications can only be submitted in hard copies. You may download the Application forms from here. The forms are also available at the following TCS Express centres:

    Please submit three (3) sets of application forms along with all supporting documents to the address provided below, by close of business, Monday 25 March 2013.

    Supporting Documents:

    You must provide following documents with your application to meet the specific requirements for Australia Awards office in Pakistan:
    • Self-assessment form
    • three passport sized photos
    • attested copy of IELTS score sheet if available. A test result obtained any time after 31 January 2012 will be considered current
    • attested copies of academic qualifications (both sides of all degrees and all transcripts should be copied)
    • attested copies of employment letters specifying years of service and job description (for all years of employment, not employment contract)
    • attested copy of passport and/or attested copy of National Identity Card
    • all Master applicants whose study program will include at least 50 percent research must attach an outline of the proposed research project (up to 1,000 words) to each application form.

    Please note that all photocopied documents sent to the Australia Awards office in Pakistan should be attested by a First Class Government gazetted officer or any person of an equal status. Candidates should also ensure that question 16a or 16b (Employer and Nominating Authority statement) of the application form is fully completed.
    Please clearly mark the envelope with the scheme under which you are applying Australia Awards Scholarships or Australia Pakistan Agriculture Scholarships. Only successful applicants will be advised of the outcome of the selection process. All decisions of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade – Australian Aid are final.
