Pune University was started its educational journey in the year of 1948 just after the year of independence to cater the educational needs and standards of the students of Pune and all over India. That’s why it is known as the “Oxford of East”. There are 46 academic departments which are serving the students in education and learning field.
It has 118 recognized research institutes and 269 affiliated colleges which are offering graduate courses. Now it is on that level where it is recognized in all over the world regarding education.
